Below are some the questions we’re asked most frequently.

Currently, WorkMonger works exclusively with organizations in the broader education sector, including school districts, public charter schools, community colleges, foundations, government agencies, support organizations, education technology companies, policy/advocacy organizations, and more. If they are working to ensure children have access to an excellent education, either directly or indirectly, we work with them.
WorkMonger focuses on non-teaching jobs in the education sector. All of our jobs require a high school degree or equivalent, and the vast majority require an undergraduate degree (and many a graduate degree as well). Therefore, even though our jobs are everything from part-time hourly roles to full-time salary roles with benefits, all of our jobs are professional roles designed to match your skill and experience level.
The majority of jobs available through WorkMonger are full-time jobs. However, WorkMonger believes that every job seeker has unique needs, and that these can vary over time and by stage-of-life. Many of these needs are not met by existing job sites. One of the hardest types of jobs to find or source applicants for are professional roles that are part-time, short-term, or independent contractor jobs. So, while the majority of our available roles are traditional full-time roles, we have an explicit focus on ensuring that professional jobs that are part-time, short-term, or for independent contractors get their fair share of attention as well.
Great question! At WorkMonger, we believe that teachers are professionals that do extremely important work. Likewise, we believe that nothing within a school is more important than ensuring a high-quality teacher is in front of each and every student. We also realize, however, that at this stage in our organization’s growth, we can’t be all things to all people. There are other organizations in the education sector that focus exclusively on sourcing high-quality teachers for the classroom. Furthermore, our team’s deep subject matter expertise lies in roles that are outside the classroom. Consequently, while we may one day expand to serve teachers as well, currently we are focused exclusively on non-teaching roles.
No! Certainly not. While many of our Employers do seek candidates that have past experience in the education sector, many of our Employers are also very interested in hiring candidates from the private sector who are transitioning to education to make a greater impact with their career. Our Employers recognize the value that a candidate with a private sector background can bring to an organization. So, in short, WorkMonger works with JobSeekers of all types, including those with and without prior education experience.
We serve education primarily because a) we are deeply passionate about ensuring every child has access to an excellent education and b) we have deep expertise and networks in the education sector. At this stage in our young organization’s growth, we realize that we can’t be all things to all people with excellence.
By picking a specific cause (education) with which the WorkMonger team has deep expertise and relationships, we greatly increase the likelihood of successful matches. Our long-term vision has not changed however; in future years, we plan to add additional causes in the social impact sector that we can serve, likely a cause or two at a time.

Currently, WorkMonger only serves education organizations in the United States, as well as JobSeekers who have the proper authorization to work in the United States. We realize that there are children in need of an excellent education worldwide, and we hope to one day be able to expand globally to meet their needs as well.
Unfortunately, no. While WorkMonger has a deep pool of Employers and Jobs, we are only able to match our JobSeekers with the organizations that have submitted profiles to WorkMonger. As a result, at any given time there are a finite number of jobs, and an individual JobSeeker may or may not be a match for one of our roles. Furthermore, if a JobSeeker is a match for one of our Employer’s roles, they still must participate in that organization’s selection process, which is completely outside the control of WorkMonger.
If you are not a match for one of our existing roles, we will continue to evaluate you for matches as new roles are submitted to WorkMonger on a rolling basis. So, while we cannot promise a successful match, we can promise that we will do all we possibly can to find you a great job. And, on the bright side, it only takes about 20 minutes to complete a profile, and it is completely free. So, you have nothing to lose – give us a try! We’ll do EVERYTHING we can to make sure you’re glad you did.
Unfortunately, no. While WorkMonger has a deep pool of JobSeekers, we are primarily able to match our Employers only with the JobSeekers that have submitted profiles to WorkMonger. As a result, at any given time there are a finite number of JobSeekers, and while most Employers do receive 5-10 strong matches from our JobSeeker pool to consider for their role, on rare occasion we are not able to find matches for an Employer to consider (primarily when it is a unique role). Furthermore, as an Employer you retain complete control over the selectin process once we have shared candidates with you; therefore, we cannot guarantee that you will hire one of the candidates that we recommend.
If we do not have 5-10 strong matches to share with you, we will on a case by case basis reach out to our network to try to solicit new candidates for your role. However, we do not have the resources of a headhunter (nor do we charge what they charge!), therefore our outreach efforts are on a limited, case-by-case basis. We of course will continue to vet our new JobSeekers as they complete profiles for your role as long as it remains open with us.
Ultimately, while we cannot promise a successful hire we can promise that we will do all we possibly can to find you a great employee. And, on the bright side, it only takes about 20 minutes to complete a profile, and it is completely free. So, you have nothing to lose – give us a try! We’ll do EVERYTHING we can to make sure you’re glad you did.
