STEP 4
Successful Hire!
.

How Much Does it Cost the Employer?
WorkMonger offers 3 pricing options based upon the number of roles you anticipate hiring for over the course of a year. Each option includes a small upfront, non-refundable Engagement Fee based upon the number of jobs for which you would like hiring support, as well as a contingent Hiring Fee based upon a percentage of the hired JobSeeker’s first-year compensation (including salary, maximum-eligible bonus, and maximum-anticipated salary for full-time/part-time roles or total project cost for contractor positions). Only if you decide to make an offer to a WorkMonger-sourced JobSeeker and they accept is the contingent Hiring Fee charged.
Choose one of our 3 Pricing Options below that works best for your hiring needs:
A La Carte:
# of Jobs Eligible to Submit: 1
Upfront Engagement Fee: $500
Contingent Hiring Fee: 10% of first year compensation
Limited Membership:
# of Jobs: Submit up to 5 (over 12 months)
Upfront Engagement Fee: $2000
Contingent Hiring Fee: 9% of first year compensation
Unlimited Membership:
# of Jobs: Submit Unlimited (over 12 months)
Upfront Engagement Fee: $3000
Contingent Hiring Fee: 8% of first year compensation
Overall, no matter which option you choose, our fee is SIGNIFICANTLY less than a typical search firm, which often will charge 1/3 of the annual salary.

Frequently Asked Questions
What type of organizations does WorkMonger work with?
We work with all types of organizations in the broader education sector, including: school districts, public charter schools, community colleges, foundations, government agencies, support organizations, education technology companies, policy/advocacy organizations, and more. If your organization (or a team within your organization) is working to ensure children have access to an excellent education, either directly or indirectly, we want to work with you. Check out some of the Employers we have worked with here.
What is a “non-teaching job in education”?
We focus on non-teaching jobs in the education sector, such as jobs in finance, operations, curriculum design, strategy, fundraising and development, program management, administration, policy, advocacy, principals and instructional coaches, human capital management, legal, information technology, facilities management, and more. Check out some of our JobSeeker success stories here to see examples of roles we’ve filled.
Does WorkMonger only match full-time roles? What about part-time or project-based work?
Thus far, the majority of our submitted roles have been traditional full-time roles. However, we also believe that the workforce and workplace are changing, giving way to an increasing number of professional part-time, short-term, or independent contracting gigs. So, if you are looking to fill a non-teaching role that is part-time or project-based, many of our JobSeekers are looking for those opportunities as well.
Do WorkMonger JobSeekers all have prior work experience in education? What about private sector?
Our JobSeekers have all types of professional backgrounds. Many of our JobSeekers fall into one of two categories: (a) former educators looking to transition outside of the classroom or (b) non-education professionals looking to transition from the private sector into the education sector to make a greater impact with their careers. We also have many JobSeekers who are currently non-teaching professionals in education who are simply looking for their next role. We know that in certain roles, you may be seeking a candidate with teaching or education-related experience, but in other roles you may value private sector experience (or both).
Bottom line, no matter what type of candidate you are looking for, we likely have a JobSeeker for you!
If you are trying to improve education, why do you focus on non-teaching jobs?
Great question! At WorkMonger, we know that nothing within a school is more important than a high-quality teacher in front of each and every student. Standing behind every teacher are professionals running budgets, operations, human capital, data analysis, curriculum innovation, and policy. Education is a $1.5 trillion industry with complex managerial issues to address. We know from our team’s deep subject matter expertise that these support offices and organizations need innovative professionals to support great teachers from outside the classroom. That’s where we come in.
Why do you only serve education? Will you be serving other causes in the future?
We serve education primarily because (1) we are deeply passionate about ensuring every child has access to an excellent education and (2) we have extensive expertise and networks in the education sector. At this stage in our organization’s growth, we realize that we can’t be all things to all people with excellence.
By limiting our focus to a specific cause (education), we can greatly increase the quality of our matches. Our long-term vision has not changed however; in future years, we plan to add additional causes in the social impact sector that we can serve. What geographic areas does WorkMonger serve?
We are nation-wide with JobSeekers and Employers all across the country. Our JobSeekers can specify which geographic areas they are willing to work in, including indicating that they would move anywhere for the right role or that they are only seeking virtual work. This maximizes the JobSeeker pool we are able to access for each of your roles. As for the WorkMonger team itself, we’re based in Austin, Texas.
Does WorkMonger serve organizations outside the United States?
Currently, we only serve education organizations hiring for roles that will be based in the United States and those JobSeekers who have the proper authorization to work in the United States. We realize that there are children in need of an excellent education worldwide, and we hope to one day be able to expand globally to meet their needs as well.
What does WorkMonger do that I can’t do myself?
Working with WorkMonger means less time, less effort, and less stress poring over stacks and stacks of resumes. We bring only qualified candidates to you, and then you take it from there. We have an extensive network of innovative education professionals, many of which are passively looking and are unlikely to come across your job postings on their own. Our matching process – a combination of our algorithm and personal attention from our team – saves you time, facilitates your decision making, and helps you hire the best match for your team.
I’m an Employer. Does WorkMonger guarantee that they’ll find me the right person to hire?
Unfortunately, no. While we have a deep and constantly growing pool of thousands of JobSeekers, we can only match our Employers with JobSeekers who have submitted profiles – we do not head hunt or build a pool of new candidates specifically for your role (this is how we keep our costs significantly lower than search firms). As a result, at any given time there are a finite number of JobSeekers. While most Employers receive 5-10 strong matches from our JobSeeker pool, on rare occasions we are not able to find matches for an Employer to consider (primarily when it is a unique role). Of course, we will continue to vet our new JobSeekers as they complete profiles for your role as long as it remains open with us. In order to serve our Employers in the best way possible, we have chosen to make the vast majority of our fee contingent since we do not offer a guarantee.
What does WorkMonger charge?
WorkMonger’s fee is broken down into two components:
• Engagement Fee: $500 is due prior to the start of the engagement.
• Contingent Hiring Fee: 10% of first-year compensation of the hired candidate (salary, maximum-eligible bonus, and maximum-anticipated commission) due upon the successful hire of a WorkMonger candidate. Only IF you decide to make an offer to a WorkMonger-sourced candidate AND they accept will this 10% fee be charged.
Overall, our fee is SIGNIFICANTLY less than an expensive search firm which might charge 1/3 of the annual salary and payment is often due even if one of the candidates they sourced is not ultimately hired.
What is WorkMonger's refund policy?
Our $500 Engagement Fees are non-refundable. Our 10% Hiring Fee is contingent upon the successful hire of a WorkMonger-sourced candidate; as such, if a hire does not occur, then the fee is not charged in the first place. In rare circumstances all or a portion of the Hiring Fee is refundable. These rare situations are detailed in the agreement that all Employer clients sign prior to beginning an engagement with WorkMonger.
